Reflection
Using our discussion as a starting point, please write a reflection on our two questions.
What do you think were the most important factors moving American colonists to seek a change with Britain; beliefs/philosophy, British actions, etc.
What were the most important factors in the U.S. winning the war against the British?
Do you still have the same factors, or did reading other students' ideas influence you to change your answer?
Note: Thie post down was my answer to the discussion homework Now I need to write a reflection
The colonists' attempts to create an independent nation and the taxes imposed by Britain were the two main elements pushing American colonists to seek a change with Britain. The colonists yearned for liberty. They were prepared to overthrow the parliament and establish their own country with the laws and customs of their choosing. Because they were still governed by the British, the new colonists were unable to fully establish themselves. From afar, Britain dominated the colonists. On imported goods like tea, sugar, paper, playing cards, and many other items, the British imposed high levies. The colonists struggled to lay a strong foundation in their new home because of the hefty taxes.
The colonists fought valiantly throughout the conflict. It brought their nation together. The freedom the colonists attained and the alliances they formed were the most crucial factors in the U.S. winning the battle against the British. Finally, the colonists were allowed to establish their own rules and start a new way of life. While keeping in mind their British-derived ideals, they created new laws and rules that made sense to them. The French supported the colonists during the conflict. For the struggle to be won, assistance was required. In this conflict, the French and the colonists allied.
