Part II - Essay:
Consider the following question. Create an introduction, thesis, and supporting details for this essay. A compressive essay MUST include at least four body paragraphs that have a clearly defined thesis and well supported arguments - complete with defined examples. You should have a fifth paragraph that is a closing paragraph in which you make sure to state the legacy of the war and Reconstruction. "From the Revolution to the Civil War, Americans are consistently asking questions related to ideas of liberty and grappling with issues related to state and/or national governing practices. Along these lines, we have the issue of slavery. Over time, the push for abolition becomes stronger for those in the north, while southerners continue to argue in favor of this "peculiar institution." Why do you think that the push for abolition becomes more pervasive in the north? In reviewing the issues related to expansion and the ideas of popular sovereignty was the Civil War inevitable?
