The cosmological function of myth serves as a type of early science, explaining natural phenomena. One such myth is that of the global flood; it has been in existence for millennia and exists in every culture. People long believed that a global flood was a reality and used science to prove it. Creation myths have an intersection with science as well, but modern theories on the creation of the world and universe are still debated and contested. In a journal assignment, reflect on the following:

What do you think about the scientific theories of the flood discussed in the module resources? Is one theory more plausible than another? Could there be more than one explanation?
