Assignment:
THE MARSHMALLOW PLAN IN FIVE STEPS
1. What do you need to change? What strategies can you apply right now to stop eating your marshmallows? What changes are you committed to making?
- I need to change my lifestyle, my negative mindset, stop procrastinating.
- The strategies that I can apply right now to stop eating marshmallows are to know myself.
- Set my goals and try to align them with my values.
- Eliminate distractions and temptations.
- Set realistic goals.
- Introduce new habits progressively.
- Take care of myself mentally and physically.
- Not afraid of making mistakes.
- Enjoy the road.
1. Commit to accepting myself as I am, to have more willpower, to do hard work daily and to be more perseverant.
2. What are your strengths and weaknesses? What do you need to improve on and what is the best way to make those improvements?
3. What are your main goals? Select at least five and write them down. Then write what you have to do to achieve those goals.
4. What is your plan? Write it. If you can't visualize a goal, you won't be able to achieve it.
5. What are you going to do to put your plan into action? What do you commit to doing today, tomorrow, next week, and next year to help you achieve your goal? Just as Arthur learned in the parable: how will you acquire the willingness to do what failures are not willing to do?
