Question: Discuss with your team
What do you know about your client's preferences? How do you think they will want to read and use your report?
What implications does this have for the layout?
What can you do to get started?
Agree broad section headings
Assign someone with creative skills, to develop a report style/template
Build up your joint list of references in an appropriate Harvard layout and add to this as you go
• Think about using reference software
How will you use the document sharing areas you have set up to develop your group report?
At what point will you agree on a skeleton document?
What roles are you likely to assign in relation to the report development in the team?
Title page executive summary contents page introduction research approach section
key sections related to the main areas you have researched recommendations and conclusions
Some figures/tables/images to break up the text reference list
You do need show clearly where your findings have come from and therefore reference to sources used or link to specific findings of any primary research e.g.:
• The Anti-bribery Policy document (UK Government, 2015) indicates that offering gifts as an incentive may be considered unethical.
• Our survey clearly highlights a growing trend for young people to eat at restaurants more than once a week (see fig 1)
Look at the example group reports
Decide what features of these you like and can learn from for your report
