Lisa is a 23 year old college senior who works in a busy local restaurant. She is brought to the emergency room by her boyfriend with fever, nausea and vomiting which started about 12 hours ago. She tells you that she hasn't felt well for nearly a week and that she has been going to the bathroom more frequently over the last week which is getting her in trouble at work. She also tells you that it is painful to urinate. She has a history of renal calculi (stones), and had surgery to remove her tonsils when she was a child. She is currently taking an oral contraceptive and a multivitamin, but no other medications.
