Complete the "Topic - Marriage and Family Journal" worksheet.

Part I: Marriage and Family Journal

What are/were you looking for in a mate? That is, what are/were the qualities that you would want in the person you choose as your spouse? List them in the order of importance (most important first, least important last). Your list can be as long or as short as you wish but be honest and be specific. (Please do not say something like, "The person God has prepared for me.") Choose a few to explain your reasons for wanting someone with this quality. Are any of them negotiable? That is, are some of the qualities you have listed ones that you would hope the person would have but it they didn't have that quality, you would not disqualify them.

Part II: Marriage and Family Journal

What do you expect from a marriage? That is, if you were to get married at some point, what would your life be like after the wedding? Describe the emotional atmosphere of the marriage relationship. What kinds of things would you be doing each day? What kinds of things would your spouse be doing? Do you have firm sex role expectations for husbands and wives?
