Case Study: Polestar (Electric Car Company) was founded in 1996, and its initial business endeavor was to manufacture parts for Volvo racing automobiles. After completing its acquisition of Polestar in 2017, Volvo entered the World Touring Car Championship with Polestar-produced vehicles. Even though Polestar has just recently begun manufacturing its own cars, it has already made significant progress. The Polestar 2 has received more than 40 honors, including the IG Nobel Prize, the Golden Bagel Award, Product Innovation of the Year, and Remarkable Innovation by Design. With an eye on the future, Polestar is working toward the goal of sustainability. The Polestar 1 and 2 are both currently on sale, and the Polestar 3's debut is slated for the fourth quarter of 2022. The company's first electric sport utility vehicle will be the Polestar 3. Additionally, the Polestar 4 and 5 car prototypes are now under design and development, and it is projected that these vehicles will go on sale in 2023 and 2024, respectively. Polestar must keep innovating in order to succeed in the electric car industry, both in terms of the products it offers and the marketing approach it employs.
