For each problem, translate the relevant statements into SL and make a truth table to solve. Explain your final answer using logical concepts (e.g. so-and-so''s argument is valid b/c there is no row on which the premises are true and the conclusion is false). You must upload a .doc or .docx document that includes your translations, truth tables, answers, and an explanation of your answers.

1. Gus says, "If it worked, then Coyote didn''t buy his rocket from ACME; but it didn''t work". Could Gus be right? If he is right, what, if anything, do we know about where Coyote bought the rocket? Make a truth table and use it to explain both answers.
2. "Either Ali is the greatest only if Frazier did not defeat him or Ali is the greatest if Frazier did not defeat him". Could this be true? If it is, what do we know about Ali and Frazier? 3. Annette says, "If either bananas or tomatoes are genetically engineered fruits, then it is not the case that Lion Foods sells them''. Leopold says, "If Lion Foods sells them, then both bananas and tomatoes are genetically engineered fruits". Could both be correct? 4. Vinnie says, "Either Rodgers will not retire or Matthews will go up for the draft". Marissa says, "No, you''re completely wrong. If Matthews does not go up for the draft, then Rodgers will not retire". Could Vinnie and Marissa both be right (i.e. are their answers consistent)? If so, what, if anything, would we know about Rodgers and/or Matthews (i.e. look at rows where what both are saying is true and see if you can figure out anything about Rodgers and/or Matthews in that situation)?
5. Elaine says, "Either I blackmail the Soup Nazi or I don''t get any soup". Jerry says, "If you blackmail the Soup Nazi, you still won''t get any soup". Could Elaine and Jerry both be correct? If so, what would we know about Elaine blackmailing the Soup Nazi and Elaine getting soup?
