What do we do about the seemingly unethical teachings in the Bible? For example, God demands the killing of innocent children (1 Samuel 15:3); God prohibits mixed-marriages and marrying foreigners (Ezra 9-10); God declares that menstruating women are impure and that everything they touch and everyone who touches them are also unclean (Leviticus 15); God seems to say that a male lying with another male is an abomination (Leviticus 18). Is God wrongly portrayed? Were the Bible writers mistaken?

There are hate groups today that target foreigners, the LGBTQ+ community, and different ethnic minorities. How do we respond to the claim that they are simply expressing what the Bible states and following God's laws?
