Question: You will be presenting a family case study. Observe and interview a family. Presentations should focus on concepts from the book the new people making by Virginia satir . Divide presentation into the following topics: Introduction, Communication, Challenges, Successes, Recommendations. Do not make recommendations to the family. First in your introduction, identify the family dynamic. Are you interviewing a brother and sister, a husband and wife, two cousins? Then ask the family questions about their interactions? How do they work on their communication? Have they ever had any communication issues? What do they enjoy about their family? How do they feel as members of this family?All families have their set of obstacles, what are some of the challenges that they themselves have experienced? How did they overcome them or are currently working through them? What are some of the successes that they have encountered? Can they recall some of their nurturing moments? While interviewing them, also observe their interactions. What is their body language like? Does their body language say something different than what they are actually saying or does it match? Do you see traits of a nurturing family, troubled family, a mixture? Based on what we have covered in class, what would you recommend (not to them) but what you think the family could do to improve their overall family relationship. This would be in your recommendation section. Apply aspects from the description of a nurturing family as your recommendations.
