We are examining what distinguishes movie musicals from staged ones, and we're doing this by focusing first on editing, but also (always) on cinematography.

First, choose a sequence from the film, "The Chicago (2002)", you are reviewing (a song or a part of a song) and describe both the way it is shot and how it is cut. (Do we move from a bird's eye view to a close-up, etc.) Be specific and detailed. Second, analyze how the editing (and cinematography) work together to achieve certain aims regarding story/characters and audience reception. Be sure to provide a link to the sequence in your post.
