Evaluating Research

Introduction
For this assignment, you will be evaluating research. In this last module, critical appraisal and analytics have been discussed. Therefore, you will write your review and then compare and contrast the research report to a similar research report.

Instructions
1. Use the FSCJ Library and Learning Commons database and locate two published research papers with a similar research focus (i.e.: a specific disease, treatment, diagnostic technique, etc.).
2. Select one of the two papers to create a review. The format should follow the sections given in the learning unit. You must include the following for the initial review:
1. Abstract
2. Introduction
3. Materials/Methods
4. Results
5. Discussion
3. Compare the two papers you have selected. What are the common themes? Do any of the results overlap?
4. Contrast the two papers you have selected. What differences do you see in the two papers? Do you think that one was written better than the other?
Note: For your comparison and contrast section, write about more than the questions you were given. The questions are to get you started. Be critical and creative.

Format
Students should use the following format:
1. Use APA format and cite sources, as necessary. If you need a refresher on APA, reference the APA Learning Unit.
2. Do your resources meet the CRAAP test?
3. Use professional language.
4. Use 12-point New Times Roman font.
5. Include a reference page.
