These days, technology has become so ubiquitous that one can hardly avoid it. We use cellphones for (constant) communication, navigation, research, socialization, and, of course, SELFIES. With the option to snap a quick, high-quality photograph in any location in a matter of seconds... many people seem unable to resist the urge to show off.
However, a recent study identified a disturbing trend. It appears that some individuals are going to such great lengths for a great 'selfie' that it has cost them their life. In fact, over 250 selfie-related deaths have occurred since 2011 (Bansal et al., 2018).
