Employee Performance.

The organization I choose four individual projects four is Dollar General corporations. I believe that Dollar General corporations can benefit from the Kotter's eight steps change mode. In number one, "Create a Sense of Urgency," these will show the organization all the problems they have and help them create a plan for changes. Number two "Form a Powerful Coalition" shows and assemble a team of employee that will influence the changes in the corporation. Number three, "Create a Vision for Change," create and complete a plan for changes and how is going to be implemented. Number four "Communicate the vision" communicate the changes to the employees by using any vehicle of communication available. Number five "remove obstacles" it identifies individuals that are against changing inquire about other concerns and answer other questions. Number six "create short-term wins," reword the employees for their accomplishment and the organization short wings. Number seven "building on the change" change the process and policies that do not follow the plan. Promote and recruit employees that will implement the changes. Number eight "anchor the changes and incorporate the new culture" always remind that seems the benefits of the changes and the success they are acquired because of the changes. The corporation that I belong will benefit from the Kotter's process is like our facility needs a roadmap to be able to function. These will help the managers communicate with the supervisors and the supervisors with the employees. Communication is essential, and he will avoid confusion reading all ranks of the company these will bring more teamwork, boost productivity, create and keep good morale for the employees.

I feel that employees performance gets better with time. With the proper communication and training, employees can enhance their performance. Working at Emory University Hospital I noticed a lot of the staff members need help with organizational skills to enhance culture tension. Culture today is an outstanding barrier to the change for success, while culture informed judgment is the key that will drive and help transform performance as well as change. Communications functions can play an important role in driving successful change initiatives by helping to diagnose and manage cultural tensions. Having more activities that will allow employees to engage with each other can help shape communication. I believe that having a structured organization or the level of hierarchy would have a positive change on employees instead of a team leader or charge nurse telling everyone which way to go. At my place of employment, this is seems to be an issue. The charge nurse seems to shy away from having a structured way of leading. It's about the organization and everyone should be treated with respect, dignity, and fairness. I firmly believe in having teams. Its more organized and this can allow work to get done in a more efficient and qualifying way. I can remember working for a company as a project manager and being responsible for getting a project that would typically take two weeks to complete had to be completed in 4 days. I formed a team of 7 people who I knew and have in the pat worked with. The team I formed was able to over succeed expectations which allowed everyone to comfortable work with each other to pursue one common goal. We also had incentives that allowed motivation for the staff. Have great incentives can allow great employee performances. For an example, if an organization is production based like I was once before, employees were able to earn extra money just by working hard or even coming to work on time for one week. This helps motivate employees.

A portion of Emory Healthcare model, or mission say " Our leaders' integrity and compassion are reflected throughout our organization". My opinion, a model is somewhat a promise that derives the mission. In order to commence change, then everyone should have or work toward one common goal which is the vision. Being able to see or have a vision of the future will help the initiating process of change. To start the change process, an organization would have to gather a group of trustworthy people of empowerment that isn't afraid to lead and who can paint that picture to start the transformation. The next step would be to remove all obstacles hindering the vision and change. In this step, the organization has to come up with a new method of how things should be ran because the old way obviously failed. "out with the old, and in with the new". Organize your goals! every milestone counts. Don't rush things, strategically plan in the way that will allot time to try your method out. When the plan is in place," then Compare past performance to current performance and keep an eye on progress until several new products have been launched, or several batches have been processed, so that everyone can see that the initial success was not a flash in the pan".
