The second article "Demographic Turning Points for the United States: Population Projections for 2020 to 2060" By Jonathan Vespa, Lauren Medina, and David M. Armstrong, from the United States Census Bureau, outlines population estimates and projections.

The third article "Why You Mistakenly Hire People Just Like You" by Kimberly Giles, addresses the human tendency to hire people like ourselves.

1. As the first article states, progress on diversification initiatives has been slow and many organizations are still uncertain about how to effectively use diversity to support their value-creation goals. Why do you feel such progress has been slow? Do you feel the speed of such progress is too fast, too slow, or just about right? Why?

2. The second article shares projected demographic shifts through 2060. What did you learn about the projected demographic shifts? Did anything surprise you? If the projections are accurate, do you feel future organizations will be different than they are today? How? Also, what adjustments should organizations be making now in order to increase the likelihood of success in the future?
