Assignment - Child Observation Essay

Description - For this assignment, please do the following:

Please watch "party of chairs," "sand container conflict," "children dealing with frustration," and "children as scientists." This is from Films on Demand through GCC's library.

Please choose one child in each video (if there is more than one child) and do a running record of that child. Remember, this is when you write exactly what you see and describe facial expressions and body movements. Be as objective as possible. Use the running record template: Running Record

Then, write an analysis of the running records. Using the running records, make connections between the clips that you watched and the readings that you've done so far. Please include connections to the chapters you've read in "The Play's the Thing" and articles that have been provided. Please include at least two specific connections for each video clip. See the rubric for this assignment for more specifics.
