Question: Janice had a small poodle named Sammy whom she appeared to dote on meticulously. Janice presented Sammy to the veterinarian numerous times over the past year with a variety of mysterious illnesses that the veterinarian could not find any medical explanation for. A next-door neighbor became concerned when she saw what appeared to be bleach being poured into Sammy's water bowl by Janice when she had him in her front yard. The neighbor also heard painful yelps coming from Sammy inside the house on many occasions. Eventually, the SPCA was called and Sammy was taken away from Janice. Sammy is doing really well in his new foster home and has no current health conditions. What diagnosis appears to be present and who would be diagnosed with it?
