The Critical Essay is based on the relevant set readings for weeks 1-5. It builds from your analysis of these readings, tutorial presentations, and discussions. It also draws on your understanding of the issues of anthropology, development, globalisation and inequality. (3,000 words)
Choose one only of the following topics for your major essay:
Part 1. It has been argued that globalization has improved the livelihood of the majority of Third Word people over the last few decades. From a region covered in this subject what evidence is there is to support this statement or not?
