• What data or evidence does the author use to support the hypothesis? What kind of data is it (original? secondary?)
• What types of cites/references does the author give (out-dated? Relevant? Biased? Limited or broad in scope?)
• Does the author omit any important data (especially data that might not support the hypothesis)?
• What conclusion does the author reach? Did the author prove the hypothesis? Why or why not?
• Do the data support the conclusion? In other words, does the argument make sense?
• How does the information in this article relate to what you already know about the subject matter?
• Was the article clearly written?
