Problem: You are an Honours student in Psychology, and you are carrying out qualitative research for your thesis. Your topic is the exploring adults' experience of coping with an elderly parent who is living with dementia. Twenty adults have volunteered to participate in your research. You want to know from participants' information such as: when their parent was diagnosed with dementia; what daily life is like for their parent with dementia and for themselves, what effect having a parent with dementia has on them, and how they cope.
