Assignment
Margaret O'Leary is a 70-year-old female who presented to the emergency department with her daughter this morning with complaints of chest pain, fatigue and shortness of breath. Her past medical history includes MI, heart failure, osteoporosis and a recent UTI. She was treated with 2 sublingual Nitroglycerin, 2 mg IV Morphine, aspirin and oxygen ai 4L via NC with relief of her pain. The CXR revealed mild pulmonary edema, so she also received 20mg of IV Lasix. Her 1st troponin was negative, and the 2nd is pending. The physician wants to be called with those results. Ms. O'Leary is being admitted to your telemetry unit to rule out MI. Vital signs: T'98.6, HR 90, RR 20, BP 122/84, 02 sat 96% 4L Time in the scenario is 10am.
