Pete owns six automobiles, a Ford, a Buick, a Chrysler, a Dodge, a Pontiac, and a Toyota, which he keeps in his garage which is attached to his house.

Dave, Pete's friend, asked Pete if he can borrow the Ford to take his wife to the doctor. Pete agrees to let him borrow the Ford and hands Dave the key to the car.

Dave takes his wife to the doctor in the Ford. The Doctor refuses to see Dave's wife unless he pays his past due bill. Dave has no money but agrees to give the Doctor the Ford. Dave forges the pink slip for the car and gives the keys, the pink slip, and the registration to the Doctor.

PART (B)

John is Pete's employee. After John comes in drunk and is late for the fifth day in a row, Pete fires John. John feels he is entitled to severance pay since he had worked for Pete for two weeks. John punches Pete, knocking him unconscious. John takes Pete's car keys out of Pete's pocket and attempts to take Pete's Buick home to John's apartment. John is too drunk to drive the car and falls asleep behind the wheel in the company parking lot.

Ed knows he has never had more than $300 in his checking account. Ed drives off with the car.

Pete's Pontiac is parked in Pete's garage. Bob, a local gang member, is going through his initiation into the gang. Bob is told that he must steal Pete's Pontiac and drive it through a fast food restaurant where the gang will be waiting or else he will be killed. Bob sneaks into Pete's garage at night, finds the keys that Pete left in the ignition, and drives the car through the McDuck drive through. Bob then returns the Pontiac to Pete's garage.

Stephanie, Pete's administrative assistant, has recently broken up with her boyfriend. Stephanie asks Pete if she can borrow his Toyota pick-up to move her furniture out of her boyfriend's apartment and into a storage unit. Pete gives her the keys and says he needs the truck back in three hours. Stephanie nods her head. However, Stephanie doesn't ever intend to return since her boyfriend can be violent. After she loads up her furniture and other personal items, she leaves town trying to get as far away from her boyfriend as she can.
