1. Strengths:

• What advantages does the food establishment have?

o Food chain based on local, quality, food. Promotes sustainability.

• What does it do well?

o Advertising local ingredients, "fresh look"/atmosphere in the store, menu variability, Family app benefits (discounts, freebies).

• What relevant resources does it have access to?

o Local New England suppliers, Hannah farm (Boston), multiple locations

• What do other people see as its strengths (e.g. work processes, culture, etc)?

o Quality/taste of products (grain bowls, burgers, shakes) sourced from local known producers (Toscani's ice cream, Kimball farms), seasonal selections, upbeat atmosphere, family perks.

2. Weaknesses:

• What could the food establishment do to improve?

o Refresh cooking stations, increase portions

• What does it do badly?

o Food can take longer than what you would expect from food chains, high prices, small portions.

• Do others see the work processes, climate, systems, etc as a weakness?

o Yes. It is evident that work processes could be improved- usually only 1 person on the grill, doing shakes, etc.

3. Opportunities:

• Where are the good opportunities facing this food establishment?

o More local vendors, increased Boston farm productivity, more volunteers on the farm to get their name out in the spring/summer. Grubhub partnership for delivery.

• Are there any interesting trends it could take advantage of?

o B Good could offer more gluten free and vegan options.

• What changes in technology and markets are occurring on both a broad and narrow scale that might represent opportunities for this food establishment?

o Broad scale- Social media opportunity, smartphone technology to increase app utilization.

o Narrow scale- Spring/summer encourages increased technology/delivery of local products (farmers markets, people are thinking local)

• What changes are occurring in social patterns, political administrations, population profiles, lifestyle changes, etc that might represent opportunities?

o Push for more organic, local food, and environmental impact awareness. Increased awareness/ efforts for Dietary restrictions. In the spring/summer more people are apt to visit B good because of their fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients.

4. Threats:

• What obstacles does this food establishment face?

o Other fast food chains, prices of local ingrediants, losing suppliers. B Good is at risk of losing ingredients heavily influenced by drought, disease, farm factors.

• What changes are occurring in social patterns, political administrations, lifestyle changes, etc. that might represent threats to this food establishment?

o Disregard for global warming/environmental protection plans could take a hit on their suppliers. Seasonally, they may struggle to increase customer base due to winter lifestyle changes.

• Could any of its weaknesses seriously threaten its future?

o Yes, if local farms are unable to survive than B. Good will lose it's ability to fulfill it's mission of having all ingrediants produced in the same region.
