Discussion Post: Argumentative Evaluation of Lecture Videos

You have watched three different individuals offer instruction in the process of composing an argumentative or position paper. My goal was that these 3 different videos gave you incredibly clear insights into HOW an Argumentative essay should be written (I bet most of you already knew!).

I would hope that you would evaluate on the basis

1) of the presenter
2) the targeted audience
3) the purpose of the video
4) the format, language, and the technology used
5) the effectiveness of the presentation in fulfilling the purpose of the video.

The more thorough you are in your evaluation, the less work you will have to do for your 3rd paper (Yes, you will use this work for your Essay # 3 in EN 331). I am sure that you are realizing that the work you are doing with these videos will be a resource for yourself later, BUT...you have the added benefit of getting to read the evaluations from other students as well, which may prove even more beneficial for the Writing of Essay---a plethora of resources!

While you are in the mode of evaluating, evaluate the template for the argumentative paper as well.
