Mrs. Conners comes into Dr. Tyler's office to be seen for a sore throat and fever. The examination reveals that Mrs. Conners has tonsillitis. Dr. Tyler writes an order in the patient's chart for an injection of antibiotic to be given today. The patient is also given a prescription for an oral antibiotic to be taken for the next 10 days.

Joe, the medical assistant, while administering the injection to Mrs. Conners, accidentally punctures his finger with the needle that has been inside Mrs. Conners.
