Problem: Today, I am presented with the case of Marisa. A 13-year-old Hispanic female in 7th grade. The client was adopted at 26 months old. Recently, her mother adopted another baby. Since then, Marisa has displayed behaviors where when she feels that if her mother is angry at her she hits herself. Marisa struggles to make friends in school. When engaging in competitive activities in school she often shouts that things are unfair causing her feelings to become hurt very often. According to DSM-5 what could be an appropriate diagnosis(s) to consider for this client? What are 2 short term and 2 long term goals that could be applied to this case?
