There is an afterlife with a positive element or a negative element dependent on one's moral character in mortal life. Judges in this afterlife evaluate the moral character of an individual soul and send it to either a positive or negative afterlife for a period of one thousand years. Afterward, the souls exist their afterlife and are born again into new lives. Here we see reference to this idea and Plato suggests that mortal souls can get their wings.
