1) Telediagnosis – connecting the patient directly with the doctor

2) Telepresence – paramedics transferring information to a doctor or wireless digital devices transferring information to a doctor

3) Teleconsult – connecting a doctor with another doctor

4) Telemonitoring – e.g., wearable sensors that transmit patient vitals and other biological signs

5) Telesurgery – a process that gives better visibility and control to one or more surgeons

What changes do you believe telemedicine will bring to HIT? What would have to change relative to HIT (or get much better) for telemedicine to be effective.
