Problem: Monitoring refers to the ongoing communication between your organization and the funder about your project's progress. Each sponsor has its own requirements for collecting reports and may require both interim and summative reports. Generally, grant funders ask at the minimum for a final report on program outcomes, challenges, and successes. Some may ask for a site visit during the grant cycle. No matter what the sponsor requires, all grant-funded projects should track and monitor progress as well as lessons learned. What changes will you be looking for as a result of your project? Will you measure changes in terms of Knowledge, Attitude, Behavior, or Skills, or a combination of two or more of these indicators? State which type of change you would expect to see in your participants and why. Then, describe the relationship between your program activities and the changes you expect.
