Topic: I'm doing a research paper on propionibacterium acnes and the effects of that bacteria with antibiotic treatments. My professor wants something that relates to cells more and involves a pathway that can explain why a cell can be resistant or allow it to be treated. I need help finding a cell pathway in bacteria to research.

Question: Is there a specific cellular pathway you can inhibit to prevent antibiotic resistance in cells? Cellularly, what causes bacteria to be resistant or nonresistant?
