Managing Legal Liability and Risks
Technology can help or hurt the police. Not a day goes by that someone does not upload a video of police engaged in what the "videographer" believes is questionable police conduct. On the other hand, in an attempt to counteract public accusations, more and more departments are placing in-car cameras in police vehicles. There are times when the police are caught in questionable conduct by their own cameras.

I think that the police chiefs should hold mandatory trainings every quarter to refresh the procedures and objectives. I feel as if some police officers don't want to adhere by the rules and that later down the line cases major issues that become worldwide. Within the last 4 years the world has become very different than before. Covid-19 has shown things in a different light. Since the horrific incidents with police officers during Covid, at that time people were pulling out their phones and mobile devices; recording the incidents that were happening live. Honestly, I think it depends on the officer at hand that is in contact with the citizen/ citizens.
Nowadays it is a part of the territory because when you are a part of law enforcement it comes with it pros and cons of the situation. Looking in from the outside, officers have a bad reputation because people assume that because one person did a certain thing that means all officers are the same and they judge based off of that. There are actually some nice officers and they do right by their job.
Honestly, I would never advise citizens to resist because things can go left from that incident. The goal is to do what you are told no matter what the circumstances are. When dealing with the police or any type of law enforcement, you must approach the situation in a calm manner. Resisting will put you at risk and bad things could happen. It has been events to where people have resisted the police and they have gotten injured from that. I noticed from just watching things on the news and in real life, police get away with a lot of things and its sad because it seems as if the people that have hire authority than the police let some things slide that they do.
