Purpose: Psychology is about the journey inward or self-reflection. Course reflection helps to build stronger connections between learning experiences, increases self-awareness and our understanding of others. This is the time for you to take a minute to critically think about all that you have learned and how this knowledge can help you in the future. Reflection helps the brain to create meaning. Take a look at each week of the syllabus for the past semester and the insight that you have gained; this is the process of learning and growing.
Task: Your task is to answer the following questions with a 2 to 4 typed complete sentence response. Please number the questions with your responses and reach out to me if you are not sure. Please respond to at least one other classmate with a 2 sentence response. Each question is worth two points.
1. After completing this course, how you will apply what you have learned in this class that to your personal life, family or community.
2. Will you continue to engage in your behavior modification exercise (DB #5)? Why or why not.
3. Look over the syllabus topics, how has your thinking about a topic changed because of your exposure to information in this course?

5. What is the best piece of information that you learned from this course that may be helpful in your personal or profession life?

The 5 Emotional Intelligence Skills are:
Self-Awareness-Knowing one's emotional impact on others. Knowing that your words matter and can impact attitudes for you and your team.
Self-Regulation-Controlling disruptive impulses and moods for your team.
Self-Motivation-Discovering your "why" and aligning with your purpose which includes respecting others.
Empathy-Understanding the emotional make-up of others and placing value on the feelings of others.
Social Skills- Building respect and communication to create a cohesive team that moves in the desired direction.
