The case study "The Competent Employee," provided at the beginning of Chapter 10 of the course text, establishes the context for the need for diversity and sexual harassment training in an organization.

Similar to a society, every organization has a built-in work environment and culture. To acclimatize their employees to this environment and to ensure that all employees are treated equally, organizations conduct various training programs, such as orientation training and sexual harassment training.

In this Discussion, you will analyze whether training programs, such as diversity awareness and sexual harassment, can be successfully measured.
Based on your reading for this week:

Discuss how organizations can measure the success of diversity awareness and sexual harassment training programs.

Post by Day 3 a substantive response of approximately 200-250 words that answers the following questions:

How can an organization determine if these trainings have been successful? Can the impact be measured? Why or why not?

What behavior changes should be expected as a result of the training?

Will reported claims of sexual harassment increase or decrease after the training? Why or why not?

Use the Week 5 Discussion 2 Template (located in this week's Learning Resources) to develop a draft of your response. Then, post your finalized statement to the Discussion Thread.

Read a selection of your colleagues' postings.

Respond by Day 5 with at least 75 words each to two or more of your colleagues' postings in one or more of the following ways:
Ask a probing question.
Share an insight from having read your colleague's posting.
Offer and support an opinion.
Make a suggestion.
Expand on your colleague's posting.

Return to this Discussion in a few days to read the responses to your initial posting. Note what insights you gained as a result of the comments your colleagues made.

Be sure to support your work with specific citations from the Learning Resources and any additional sources.
Note: Refer to the Week 5 Discussion 2 Rubric for specific grading elements and criteria. Your Instructor will use this rubric to assess your work.
