What common prejudices can be found in your workplace and local surroundings? How do you think these can be overcome?

Q2C: If you identified any training needs, what options are available to you in your workplace and/or your state?

Q2D: In what ways can you manage tensions between staff who struggle to work effectively with difference? Why is it important to encourage collaboration and respect in the workplace?

TASK 2- RESEARCH & REPORT

You are required to do the following.
- Your report should be presented fully typed, in a short report format, using the template provided below. Please complete all parts
- Follow the short report format:

4. Body - with headings and numbering systems
5. Conclusion
6. References: list sources of information and research referenced in text
7. Appendix: flow chart of the grievance procedure
- Read and familiarise yourself with the Kingfisher Garden Centre diversity policy located after Report Format. This is a fictitious diversity policy developed for this assessment.
- To gather ideas, research what major companies are doing to manage diversity. Large companies such as the major banks (Westpac, ANZ and Commonwealth), BHP, PepsiCo, etc., tend to have information on their websites. Also use the research gathered throughout the unit, as directed in the ‘Extend your learning' activities.
