Case Study: In 2018, the Family Separation policy enacted along the US Southern Border has been denounced by all political parties as cruel, inhumane and chaotic. Given what we have learned about child development thus far in the semester, the impact on children, especially young children, is catastrophic. Even though the policy has ended hundreds of children and still separated from their parents and have not been able to be reunited.
