Problem

A women's medical clinic is owned by a physician, who also serves as its on-site Director. There are two Assistant Directors who are Licensed Nurse Practitioners. The clinic employs four Registered Nurses, five patient service representatives, two lab technicians, and two receptionists. It is open six days a week. While the clinic provides basic services such as routine physical exams, it does not perform any surgical procedures. Staff members who work at the clinic are required to provide clients with information about various community resources available to them on a variety of medical conditions. Some of the resources include information regarding abortions. One of the patient service representatives claims that her religious beliefs do not permit her to provide information about abortions, which is against her religion. The Director of the clinic claims that due to staffing issues, it would cause undue hardship to accommodate her religious beliefs.
