Piss Christ is a photograph of a small plastic crucifix submerged in a small glass tank of the artist's urine. The piece was a winner of the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Arts. The art competition was funded in part by the National Endowment of the Arts (Government agency that supports and funds art projects -- with taxpayer money).
