All nurses are informal leaders and as such are able to make a positive impact on client outcomes. Some nurses are in formal leadership roles such as that of charge nurse, nurse manager, director, or chief nursing officer. Whether serving as a formal or informal leader, it will be important for you to understand your personal leadership style. The Leadership Style Assessment Test does not use leadership style labels such as those noted in your reading and other activities. It will however provide you with scores at the end showing you how strongly your characteristics align with the leadership styles of ambassador, advocate, people mover, truth-seeker, creative builder, and experienced guide.
