When you meet Andrea and her mother, Andrea is evasive and withdrawn. Her mother talks in great detail about Andrea's food intake. Midway through the conversation, her mother's phone rings and she excuses herself and steps outside. You sit beside Andrea and ask her what she wants. With this, she bursts into tears and blurts out that she has been sexually abused by a member of her extended family. She insists that she cannot tell her parents.
