CASE: A 23 year old male visited the clinic with complaints of an upper abdominal pain, heartburn, nausea and occasional vomiting. He also had an episode of loose bowel movement. He was in usual state of health 5 days back when he started having epigastric pain. Pain aggravated at night after taking large meal. He took naproxen to relieve the pain for 2 days, but without significant effect, hence consult. His father had a family history of peptic ulcer disease. He was fond of fried and spicy food. He denied cigarette smoking and alcoholic beverage drinking.
