Question: a) Byron's book, The Power of Principles, presents examples of executives and leaders reflecting on what kind of person they wanted to be. An attentive consideration of the work should, at many points of the text, provoke the same question in the reader. What did the book get you to reflect on, particularly in regards to your own character? What have you learned about managing responsibly in the course? How will you think, speak and act differently because of this?

The concluding Chapter (13) of the book, From One Generation to Another, offers the image of the relay baton. The torch has been passed to you. How will you run the race? What answer are you able to give to "why anyone should be led by you (p. 191)?"

In the Foxfire series, a character, Aunt Addie Norton, passes on the following wisdom:

"I tell you one thing, if you learn it by yourself, if you have to get down and dig for it, it never leaves you. It stays there as long as you live because you had to dig it out of the mud before you learned what it was."
