In this weeksforum we continue our case on genetics and human rights. This week we examine a case study about a young woman whose biological family is trying to reunite with her. We learn about the children who were displaced during Argentina's Dirty War in the 1970's and about the ethical concerns of DNA testing.

Read through the attached case study. Answer the questions below and write your post in a narrative format based on your answers to the questions.

1) Write a brief conversation between Isabel's or Isabel's adoptive mother and Dr. Figueres and have her ask 3 questions that Dr. Figueres then answers.

2) Claudia's family was likely victims of human rights violations as many of the babies in Argentina were forcefully taken from their homes. Do you think they have a right to test her DNA as an adult without her consent?

3) If Isabel was a minor and a match is found should she be returned to her biological parents?

4) Isabel decides after her conversation that she does not want to be tested. Her family in Argentina are sure she is their long lost grandchild. Claudia decides to try and obtain a sample of her DNA through indirect means. How would they obtain this DNA and is this ethical or legal?
