Discussion: Case Analysis

Steps

1. Write your own post - You post your response to the discussion questions at least five days prior to the due date. It is important that you post early, so that your classmates have time to read and respond.

2. Respond to other posts - You read your peers' postings and then respond, by name, to at least two students, at least five days prior to the due date. This second step is very important as it gets the conversation started.
o In these two responses, please include one question, so that your peers can respond (this will allow for Step #3).

3. Answer your peers' questions. You answer the questions that are posed to you by at least two classmates in Step #2, by the due date. Ensure that you are including the names of the classmates (peers) whose questions you are answering, in approximately 100 words.

For this discussion, take a moment to read the following situation and reflect on the three questions that follow.
A seventh-grade boy talking to a teacher he trusts (all this is said in a strong voice and he does not look at the teacher): "Something happened yesterday that's bugging me a lot. I was looking out the window after school. It was late. I saw two of the guys, the bullies, beating up one of my best friends. I was afraid to go down there...a coward...I didn't tell anyone, I didn't do anything."
Explain responses to the following questions you may ask yourself in 500 words.

1. If you were the client, what are two common-sense actions you might consider taking at this stage in order to move forward? Even if big actions seem premature, what little actions might you take?

2. Indicate the reason for each possible action.

3. Give/receive feedback on your actions and those of others in this discussion and the reasoning behind them.
