ASSESSMENT TASK DESCRIPTION:

Assume that you are a marketing agency located in Sydney. Your agency is known for its expertise in introducing products/services to international markets. A client approaches you for help to develop a 12-month international marketing plan to support the introduction of an existing product/service.

You are now asked to write a full international marketing plan with one of the following choices:

SELECT 1 QUESTION
a. To introduce an existing product/service in Australia to ONE foreign country. This existing product/service MUST NOT exist in this foreign country.

OR

b. To introduce an existing product/service in a foreign country to Australia. This existing product/service MUST NOT exist in Australia.

The following sections explain the structure of your proposal presentation.

Your 5 PowerPoint slides MUST follow the following structure:

Question 1. A summary of your chosen product/service and your chosen country (either a foreign country or Australia). What it is? What does it do? What are the key features/functions/elements of this product? Any picture (if available), and highlight the key features? Where does it come from (Country of origin/brand or manufacturer name)? Where is the destination country?

Question 2. An internal analysis/company analysis, with information about the organization that produces your chosen product/service, its skills, capabilities, process &procedures, and people.

Question 3. An industry analysis, with information about the industry (e.g., key players, primary activities, and major products), customer market (the current and future needs, what they value, demographics) any opportunities, and key market trends.

Question 4. A competitive analysis, with information about key competitor(s), their performance and/or strategies. What are their size and market share? What are their objectives? What are their strengths and weaknesses? What are their key marketing strategies? Who are their target markets? What is their Positioning?

Question 5. A macro-environmental analysis, containing three (3) factors of your choosing from the PESTEL model, for example, political, social-cultural, and technological. (Note: at least TWO factors must be discussed for each of those three PESTEL forces that you have chosen with clear explanation/discussion.

Please include all the references (APA or Harvard ) in the note section under each relevant slide (This refers to the bibliography).

A minimum of 5 references (e.g., scholarly peer-reviewed journal papers, industry sources, textbooks, etc) must be included in this report. Otherwise, marks will be deducted.
