Question: Dillion is the sole shareholder in Deca Corporation, a calendar year taxpayer. Deca has current E & P of $50,000 and accumulated E & P of $25,000. Dillion has a stock basis of $35,000 before any distributions. At the end of the year, Deca distributes land to Dillion with a basis of $60,000 and a fair market value of $105,000, but the land has a liability of $15,000 which is assumed by Dillion.
