Problem
After reading chapter 8 in the Prisoner Reentry textbook, respond to one of these questions:
Question A. What incarcerated groups-for example, the young, females, minorities, drug abusers, mentally ill, learning disabled, supermax prisoners-merit specialized attention during and after incarceration? Why?
Question B. What are the risks of using generic approaches-instead of individualized approaches-to reentry management, supervision, and assistance?
Question C. The groups who go to prison share many of the characteristics of those who are served by public health and social service agencies. Historically, however, these agencies have operated largely independent from one another. How might public health, social service, and correctional system agencies be configured to achieve their respective goals more effectively?
