The focus of this week's Seminar will be on healthy lifestyle changes to prolong life and prevent disease and illness.

1. Obesity is one of the number one health concerns in our country for children and adults. What are ways to prevent obesity? As a counselor, what type of plan would you recommend to help someone who is suffering with obesity or other eating disorders?

2. Those suffering from obesity have many options, including weight loss through diet and exercise, as well as surgical and medically supervised weight loss interventions. What are the pros and cons to each approach?

You will benefit most from completing Seminar Option 1. However, if you are unable to attend you have the opportunity to make up the points by listening to the Seminar archive and writing a paper summarizing the Seminar. You should create your paper in Microsoft Word and your work should be formatted in APA style. Your paper should be composed in complete sentences and paragraphs and be at least 500 words in length.
