This module, we have discussed decision-making and reviewed approaches to decision-making. We have also looked at E-government and the use of web-based tools by public organizations. More specifically, we have evaluated web-based services, wrapping things up by looking at the extensive use of E-government in Estonia where E-government has become the primary source of all public organization resources in the country.

Making decisions and being able to support those decisions are skills essential to any public administrator. Combined with the field of E-government today, this lesson helps us practice design-making processes and illustrate our knowledge of E-government and web-based tools in the public sector.
Instructions
After researching E-government examples, prepare a position paper evaluating the extent to which you believe public sector organizations should incorporate E-government. A position paper will present the issue, evaluate viable options, and defend your position using outside sources that support your position. Include in your paper a description of your decision-making process for your determination. Consider the following:
1. What are the pros and cons of E-government and web services similar to Estonia?
2. Is it possible to offer a similar level of E-government in the United States?
3. What information is needed to make your decision from a decision-making perspective?
