Scenario You were elected to lead a team to redesign the AP&C website. Line management has elected members of your team from different departments including IT. You need to ensure that your team will work effectively towards the goal of the organisation's project.
Part B - Case Study This is a continuation of Part B, Assessment 1
You have created great team cohesion and are progressing through the team development stages successfully. To continue ensuring this team effectiveness, answer the following:
1. There are three members in your team, as shown below.
Member A: Jason Jason is very shy and elusive. He is not talkative.
Member B: Peter Peter joined your team recently. The other team members know a little about him.
Member C: Lisa Lisa is very open. She tried her best to help other team members and also asked you for feedback about her work performance and ideas
Use the Johari Window model to identify and measure self-awareness and openness to the team.
2. Based on the above session, create professional report to line management and include the following:
a. List the team's requirements and needs. (e.g., training to enhance a team member's weakness, a tool that could assist another member in completing his/her tasks, etc.)
b. Advise how to improve interpersonal communication and managerial effectiveness in your team.
3. Identify and outline three problems that the team could not resolve, and report them to line managers. Use the Stephen Covey chart to help you prioritise the urgency of taking action on each problem.
